Dentures
Dentures are removable appliances to replace missing teeth. They may be partial, replacing one or a few teeth, or full, replacing all teeth. They are made of acrylic resin but may also be combined with chrome cobalt metal or gold alloy. A well-constructed denture can be a very economical and comfortable way to replace teeth.
Implants
Dental implants are titanium posts surgically inserted into the jawbone to act as artificial tooth roots for the replacement of missing teeth. A dental implant with an attached crown replaces an entire tooth, crown, and root, and offers a permanent and natural looking alternative for those who have lost teeth. In some cases, instead of a crown, an implant can be fitted with special clips or attachments to hold a denture. These clips will minimise movement of the denture.
