Dr Viet Le

Dentist

Viet grew up in Brisbane and graduated from the University of Queensland in 2005.

Since then, he has gained valuable dental experience ranging in work for Queensland Health on the Sunshine Coast, to heavily cosmetic based work on the Gold Coast.

Viet then settled back in Brisbane after getting married and has been part of Purwo Dental Group since 2010. In 2012, Viet moved from the established Birkdale Fair Dental to become the full-time dentist at Allenby Road Dental, where he has been providing an honest and laidback approach to dentistry ever since. In the middle of 2015, Viet became a partner of the practice, and The Dental Project was born.

Viet is also the passionate mind behind BeingTogether. BeingTogether was born from a desire to educate and help dental practitioners and their teams with mental wellness and the stressors that exist in this industry.

The not-so Serious Bits

Viet spends his days showing others how to appreciate this life we’ve been given. He is the perpetual learner of all things mindfulness and gratitude – and we benefit from that every day. He has healthy obsessions with Happy Socks, Audible and the Brisbane Broncos.
He would say his best days are spent with is favourite people; his wife Vy and children Cooper and Chloe.

1. Who inspires you?
My wife and kids inspire me to be better every day

2. What is your favourite memory?
Seeing the positive pregnancy test after experiencing some setbacks with starting a family and having to go through IVF.

3. What is your most embarrassing moment?
There was this one time where I had to take my son to a Harry Potter themed party, and I thought I would be the coolest parent when I had my face painted with all things Harry Potter. When I turned up, I thought I was at the wrong house because there weren’t any cars outside. Unfortunately, it was worse. My wife misread the date and sent me to the party one week early, face paint and all.

4. How do you feel about putting pineapple on pizza?
Not sure how I feel about it, but I don’t understand Hawaiian pizza. Guess that says a lot.

5. What is the weirdest/most unexplainable thing that has happened to you?
My wife agreeing to go out with me after two years of courtship
